POMPEY 2 - 0 Shrewsbury Town

Good solid start to the season, goals from Zaha and Caio.  Outpassed the Shrews 18:7 so i'm happy with performance, good abs gained.

Re: Post Matchday 1 All Leagues

Sheffield Wednesday 5 - 7 Wolves

What a game it had everything, and delighted with the win. 7 goals coming in from Jimenez hatrick, 3 from Jota, own goal from Daniels and Casemiro.  We had Bonatini sent off on 53mins, at half time 4-4 was thinking hmmm...a draw but second half we pushed hard.
Great Abs gained good way to start season.

Deportivo 3 - 2 Real Betis

Good win for us and 3pts, very tight match and job done. Goals from Lukaku, Ricarlison, and Rojo, Rojo best player on the night.  Good abs gained and were on our way.

Well what can we say score 5 goals but lose, 4-4 at halftime dont think we could have done more.
We should have had a penalty on 14mins, Wolves given controversial penalty on 59mins.
Stats show even match, we just had no luck from the referee.

Re: Post Matchday 1 All Leagues

Spurs 2-1 Leeds

A little surprised by the score line, expected a bigger defeat and we even scored first to upset them.
Still think it will be a long hard season with probably three or four sides fighting to avoid relegation

Re: Post Matchday 1 All Leagues

Real Madrid 5-2 Inter Milan
Happy with the win but just like last season had 42 attempts on goal with 17 on target and only 5 goals. We are making chances but not converting them, perhaps need to offer PSG 300m for Mbappe

Re: Post Matchday 1 All Leagues

Everton 3 - 3 Sheffield United

Happy with a point first match in top flight, looking at stats we battled hard for the point Everton had control of the match.  Germain with 2 goals and 1 for Billy Sharp.
Defense picked up good abs.

Re: Post Matchday 1 All Leagues

Atletico Madrid 4 - 1 Fiorentina

Delighted to get a win in my first competitive game as Atletico boss. Granted, Fiorentina are not the strongest team in the division but you have to beat what is in front of you and we controlled the game almost from start to finish. Goals for Suarez, Costa, Vrsaljko and new boy Rabiot ensured the points remained at the Wanda Metroplitano.
