Re: Pre Season Reports

Bayern Munich 6 - 3 Tottenham Hotspur

Well played AZ, thought we would try the new experimental Tiki Taka did not quite come off but Harry Kane got a Hatrick.
We started well with an early penalty, Bayern came back but Kane bagged his 2nd goal on 14 minutes then Vorm fumbled to let Robben pull the Germans level. Within 4 minutes Bayern were 4-2 up and we were stunned, 5-2 down at halftime although we had a goal disallowed.
Kane got his hatrick on 48 mins his 2nd penalty, Robben scored again for Bayern the referee was awful sending off Danny Rose midway through 2nd half.

Vorm had a poor game in goal should have gone with Gazzaniga, and the Referee had a poor game.

Re: Pre Season Reports

Juventus  2 - 0  RB Leipzig
Thanks Stevie for the game - we could have played unmanaged teams instead but at least we both got a good run out.
When Buffon was injured early on it allowed his successor, Szezesny a quick baptism to the first team. RB missed the first great chance and the first 45 minutes went by without a goal.
Just before the hour Higuaín looked to have lost the ball, but he swept back and won it again, before ghitting a sweet shot to put us a goal up. 10 minutes later Mandzukic went one on one with keeper Gulacsi and rolled it underneath him to close out the scoring.
This allowed Dybala to move back to MA and to allow Howdes into the fray for Higuaín as we tightened up the defence.
Good workout but I noticed we had nothing like the passes completed and key tackles like in the other games - ne3ed to work on these as we seek Abs improvements.
Good luck in your next match Stevie... :-)

Good win Grandadam, not to disappointed losing to mighty Juventus.
We kept the game very tight, we should have had a penalty on 16 minutes when Werner was brought down.
Then again on 43mins Klostermann was brought down and we got nothing, we attacked well late in the second half but could not get a goal. But plenty of positives.

Re: Pre Season Reports

Real Madrid 3 - 2 Manchester United
Went 4-3-3, entertaining game, outshot United with 16 of 30 shots on target and should have scored more goals. Marcelo had a great game at full back and Man of Match also on score sheet, with two goals from Mayoral.
Very happy with Attacking play and the front players.
